Official dismissed as absent with big debt
A provincial education leader in southern Vietnam has been dismissed from her post because she disappears without notice from the province and owes a big debt.
Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, deputy director of Ca Mau Department of Education and Training, was also removed from all the posts in the province Party unit.
A notice from the Central Investigation Committee of the Vietnam Party stated Lien’s violations.
Those include leaving the province without notice during a political argument class, as well as borrowing money at high rates to play hui, a revolving fund where pooled money is loaned to one of the contributors after drawing lots, or to the person offering the highest dividend.
