Official dismissed as absent with big debt
December 23, 2011 06:34 amA provincial education leader in southern Vietnam has been dismissed from her post because she disappears without notice from the province and owes a big debt. Nguyen Thi Kim Lien, deputy director of Ca Mau Department of Education and Training, was also removed from all the posts in the province Party unit.A notice from the Central Investigation Committee of the Vietnam Party stated Lien’s violations.Those include leaving the province without notice during a political argument class, as well as borrowing money at high rates to play hui, a revolving fund where pooled money is loaned to one of the contributors after drawing lots, or to the person offering the highest dividend. Hanoi to clear parking lots from narrow, crowded roads
